Both ASU and NU EG teams along with GBAUTO presented their work on the 28th of August at the Nile University. There was a ceremony held to honor the first class of students who graduated from the VET-ENG project.

The Consortium meeting was held on the 18th – 19th of February 2019 to discuss the status of the VETENG project, the program offering plan, the project schedule and the training plan. The meeting was held at Karlsruhe School of Applied Science, Karlsruhe, Germany.

The soft skills training implementation was held on the 3rd of February 2019 in Ghabbour academy in Aborawash. Two student groups participated in the training, 28 students from the faculty of engineering in Ain Shams University and 38 students from Ghabbour Imbaba school. The soft skills training lasted for 5 days and included different topics; Business Communication, Building Effective Teams, Emotional Intelligence, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving.

The Nile University gave a presentation entitled "New Model for Vocational Training (VET ENG) an Erasmus+ project” at the ROTARY INTERNATIONAL District 2451 Vocational Service Seminar & International Market. The event took place in Hurghada (Egypt) from the 10th to the 12th of January 2019 and was targeting the vocational education and training in Egypt

The cooperation and implementation meeting was held on October 17, 2018 to discuss the best implementation ways for the VETENG projects considering the availability of engineering and vocational students. The meeting was held at Ghabbour Technical School in Imbaba, Giza governorate. The vocational students will participate in the projects after submission to Ghabbour School administration. On the other hand, the engineering students who interested in these projects will submit their requests to the professors then we will receive names of participants from them.

Exporting project-based learning to Egypt

This week a group of Egyptian university and VET-school staff members has got to know Kupittaa campus area. The group participated in a pedagogical and management training organized by Brahea Centre at the University of Turku and Machine Technology Center Turku. The aim of the training was to encourage the university and VET-school teachers to use project-based learning on mechanical disciplines.
